India-first health Q&A

Health questions.
Evidence first.

India-first health Q&A from a curated scientific-evidence library. See what supports an answer, where the evidence stops, and when a question belongs with a clinician.

Follow an answer back to its source.

A numbered citation connects a point in the explanation to the library passage behind it. Here’s how that looks in the prototype.

01. Ask an everyday question

Start with something you want to understand, such as the evidence behind a supplement or a health claim.

An example health question

Does magnesium help sleep?

02. Read the explanation

The answer includes numbered citations 1 alongside its points. The aim is to make both the supporting evidence and its limits visible.

An explanation with its limitsIllustration

What the study found

One four-week trial found a small improvement in self-reported insomnia symptoms with magnesium bisglycinate versus placebo. 1

What this doesn’t tell us

A short trial cannot establish a lasting benefit or tell us that everyone will benefit.

03. Inspect the supporting passage

In the app, selecting a citation opens a source panel. The highlighted text shows the library passage associated with that point.

Interface demonstration only. The screenshot uses scripted answer text and is not a clinically reviewed answer.

See the evidence.
Understand the limits.

The aim is a clear explanation you can follow, with sources you can check for yourself.

When the library has a gap

What if there’s no evidence in the library for my question?

“Not in our library yet.”

The product is designed to acknowledge the gap. Missing evidence is not proof that a claim is true or false.

When the question needs clinical judgment

Can you interpret my personal test results?

“This one’s for your doctor.”

Personal clinical decisions are directed to a qualified clinician. General education does not replace individual care.

When a plausible claim outruns the evidence

It worked in a lab. Doesn’t that mean it works in people?

“Not established in people.”

A lab result can suggest a possibility. It does not, on its own, show that a treatment helps people. The useful answer explains what was tested and what evidence is still missing.

Reading the evidence

Different studies.
Different limits.

The prototype groups study designs into four evidence tiers to help explain the basis of an answer.

A tier is a starting point. Study quality, consistency, and relevance to the question still matter.

Tier 1 · HighestSham-controlled & N-of-1 trials
Tier 2 · HighMeta-analyses & Mendelian randomisation
Tier 3 · MediumRandomised trials
Tier 4 · LowObservational, lab & animal studies

Still a private preview

Evidence Desk is a private MVP in invited testing. Clinical review is planned before wider release; it has not yet been completed. For project enquiries, contact founder Rahul Kaushik.

Education, not personal medical advice

Evidence Desk does not diagnose or prescribe. Decisions about your symptoms, tests, medicines or treatment belong with a qualified clinician. Questions that need clinical judgment are directed to a qualified clinician. It is not an emergency service.
